摘要: Activation of complement (C) by haptenized liposomes has been utilized for a long time to study the interaction biological membranes with C proteins, or as sensitive immunoassay measurement specific antigens, antibodies, serum hemolytic levels. However, it increasingly recognized that regardless antigenicity, activation is an intrinsic property all charged phospholipid/cholesterol bilayers. Liposome-induced and its consequences show significant interspecies interindividual variation, critically depend on properties vesicles well. can proceed through both classical alternative pathways, without involvement antibodies. The practical significance phenomenon twofold: 1) opsonization promotes their clearance from circulation 2) liberation C3a C5a cause numerous, potentially adverse, reactions. In fact, many cardiovascular hematological changes observed following administration in vivo be explained activation; fact not yet gained wide recognition field drug-carrier liposomes.
