摘要: Sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) is produced in brain where it often co-localized with oxytocin. Infusions of SHBG into the medial preoptic area-anterior hypothalamus facilitate female sexual receptivity. has receptors on plasma membranes prostate gland 5alpha-reduced androgen dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by acts as an antagonist receptors. This study attempted to determine whether pre-coupling DHT would inhibit SHBG-induced facilitation Ovariectomized rats were injected daily 0.75 microg estradiol benzoate for 3 days. On fourth day after a pre-infusion baseline behavioral test animals infused 1 microl per side through bilateral cannulae (1.77x10(-6) M), coupled (SHBG-DHT; 1.66x10(-6) M DHT), alone or artificial cerebrospinal fluid vehicle. As before, significantly increased receptivity when hypothalamus. Rats SHBG-DHT had lower Therefore, whereas area facilitated behavior, did not. itself not affect Pre-coupling eliminated facilitative effect just inhibits activity at suggesting that central are similar those demonstrated periphery.
