摘要: I n plasma, most steroid hormones are largely bound and transported by two specific steroid-hormone-binding proteins, corticosteroid-binding globulin (CBG) sex hormone-binding (SHBG) (Siiteri et al, 1982; Englebienne, 1984; Westphal, 1986; Rosner, Brien, 1981; Mercier-Bodard 1981). Although it is an oversimplification (see Mendel, 1989), fair to state that the prevailing view of function these proteins bind steroids thus trap them in plasma compartment. Only a small fraction free available diffuse passively out capillary bed across cell membranes initiate hormonal effects. The best evidence supports this notion how exit vascular space enter cells. In past few years, however, there undeniable additional functions for steroidbinding proteins. major lines led conclusion reviewed here.
