摘要: Although the brain-gut axis appears to play a role in pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease, precise mechanisms underlying actions gut microbiota this disease are unknown. This study was undertaken investigate whether antibiotic-induced microbiome depletion affects dopaminergic neurotoxicity mouse brain after administration 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP). MPTP significantly decreased dopamine transporter (DAT) immunoreactivity striatum and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) substantia nigra water-treated mice. However, did not decrease DAT or TH brains mice treated with an antibiotic cocktail. Furthermore, treatment diversity altered composition host at genus species levels. Interestingly, also antibiotic-treated These findings suggest that might protect against MPTP-induced via axis.
