摘要: Smoking during pregnancy and exposure to environmental tobacco smoke have harmful sometimes devastating effects on the health of newborn. Although interventions for smoking cessation demonstrate effectiveness increasing abstinence, majority women relapse in postpartum period. However, modifying contributing factors may improve success sustained abstinence. Many parents are eager quit willing participate interventions. Through a population-based approach healthcare, neonatal nurses an ideal position prevent promote abstinence; they can coordinate lead efforts establishing strategies that integrate obstetric, newborn, pediatric services.
