摘要: Summary Contemporary mobility patterns necessitate a large use of resources and create considerable levels pollution, both during the manufacture, utilisation final disposal phases motorised vehicle life cycles. Widely studied air pollutants from exhausts, including particles, cause cardiopulmonary problems cancer. Noise is associated with annoyance, sleep disturbance impairment learning functions. Moreover, vehicles contribute to sedentary lifestyle. Sedentarism increases risk cardio-vascular problems, diabetes obesity. Most population exposed traffic-related noise at that above-mentioned effects. This not only responsible for an important public health problem but also makes current most single source environmental in European Union. To ameliorate this situation, integrated policy targeted urgently required. should include technical emission reduction measures association urban planning initiatives favouring promotion pedestrianisation cycling. Reduction car replacement inexpensive or free transport could be realised effectively through pricing schemes other fiscal measures. Awareness raising education
