摘要: Summary The dinophyte genus Pentapharsodinium shares an identical plate formula with that of Ensiculifera, but lacks a spine on the first cingulum and median sulcal (Sm). Herein we established eight strains by incubating single cysts Pentapharsodinium dalei from Chukchi Sea, Yellow South China Sea. The six Sea fit description P. dalei, they share internal transcribed spacer region (ITS1, ITS2 5.8S rDNA) sequences. two other (G96 PDFC01) are morphologically similar to possess anterior additional Sm plate. These were described as P. dalei var. aciculiferum. They ITS sequences differ PDCH01 (Yellow Sea) SZN19 (Norway origin) at 20 26 positions (96.40% 95.32% similarity) respectively. Maximum-likelihood Bayesian inference resolved well supported clade consisting Our results reveal might comprise several morphologically, genetically, ecologically different varieties.
