摘要: Among the more than 20 H-2-like genes in BALB/c mouse genome, there are two classical transplantation antigens (H-2Dd and H-2Ld) encoded at D-end of major histocompatibility complex. Here we report identification a bacteriophage clone that encodes H-2Dd. The H-2Dd gene was identified by nucleotide sequence analysis characterization new H-2 antigen expressed when cloned introduced into L cells DNA-mediated transfer. previously H-2Ld then compared with gene. appear to have same general structure, for 854 nucleotides been compared, 89% homologous. on after transfer were examined immunologic criteria. stably transformed cell lines express apparently normal levels surface as measured quantitative immunofluorescence using monoclonal anti-H-2 antibodies. They synthesize rates determined endogenous labeling immunoprecipitation extracts. evoke strong specific serologic response used immunize C3H mice. newly able serve targets alloreactive T cells. These provide good substrates examining evolution closely linked genes. Comparison structures these provides clues basis differential expression their different biologic functions.
