Evaluating residents' preferences for remediation technologies: A choice experiment approach.

摘要: The choice of technologies used to remediate contaminated environments is increasingly made through engagement with a multitude stakeholders including affected residents. Despite this, little known about how residents perceive remediation technology applications. In this study experiment designed explore ways understanding and measuring residents' preferences for different approaches using sample 944 in New South Wales, Australia. Analysis reveals that the acceptability can be explained by both efficacy improving environmental quality community, reputational value technology. particular it found prefer Monitor Natural Attenuation Bioremediation other technologies. they are willing pay an increase yearly taxes $44.60 $41.15 respectively implementing such instead alternative like Chemical remediation.
