摘要: The signal recognition particle (SRP) is a ribonucleoprotein complex which participates in the targeting of protein to cellular membranes. RNA component SRP has been found all domains life, but size molecule and number secondary structure elements vary considerably between different phylogenetic groups. We continued our efforts identify new RNAs, compare their sequences, discover elements, conserved motifs, other properties. additional proof for variability apical loop helix 8, we identified several bacteria lack components. Based on distribution features within taxonomy, suggest seven alignment groups: Bacteria with small (4.5S) RNA, large (6S) Archaea, Fungi (Ascomycota), Metazoa group, Protozoa Plants. proposed divisions improve prediction more distantly related RNAs provide inclusive representation family. Updates Rfam sequence collection are expected benefit from suggested groupings.
