摘要: OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to compare the psychomotor aptitudes relevant endoscopic manipulations between right-handed and left-handed subjects. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA: There has been little research on performance in relation minimal access surgery there are no tests evaluate aspects abilities manipulations. METHODS: A microprocessor-controlled tester developed for evaluation performance. task involved negotiating ten target holes with a probe under videoscopic imaging. Subjects consisted two groups 10 medical students: right- left-handed. After prestudy familiarization session, each subject performed test runs one hand, followed by other hand. These were repeated 1 week later. outcome measures total execution time, force backplate, angular deviations, error rate, first-time accuracy. RESULTS: significant difference rate first time accuracy observed subjects (p < 0.001 p 0.001, respectively) dominant nondominant hands 0.025, respectively), change practice. Right-handed better either hand terms 0.001) 0.001). Practice improved degree deviations 0.02). CONCLUSIONS: perform less errors exhibit parameters that improve practice reflect positive effect training, whereas others, such as which do not, innate abilities.
