摘要: The objective of this paper is to systematically review the airway outcomes following distraction osteogenesis midface with goal (1) deriving clinically oriented insights and (2) identifying gaps in knowledge stimulate future research. Medline, EMBASE Cochrane databases were searched studies included if subjects any age had retrusion/hypoplasia underwent osteogenesis. Outcome measures interest respiratory or associated measures, reports adverse events. A total 368 abstracts generated from literature searches; 16 met criteria for data extraction analysis. All observational. Generally, was reported improve status well tolerated. Specifically, favorable cephalometry (9 studies), polysomnography decannulation rates (8 studies) reported. In conclusion, upper improved most patients who osteogenesis, yet long-term results consistent are lacking. Studies reviewed retrospective case series details regarding did not deficient. standardized prospective multicenter cohort trial patient follow up required.
