摘要: Hepatitis delta virus (HDV) is a subviral satellite of hepatitis B (HBV). Since the RNA genome HDV can replicate in cultured cells absence HBV, it has been suggested that only helper function HBV to supply coat proteins assembly process particles. To examine factors involved such virion assembly, we transiently cotransfected with various hepadnavirus constructs and cDNAs analyzed particles released into medium. We report genomic antigen be packaged by either or related woodchuck (WHV). Among three co-carboxy-terminal WHV, smallest form was sufficient package genome; even RNA, could this WHV protein. Also, two co-amino-terminal forms antigen, larger essential for packaging.
