摘要: Amongst Indigenous Australians, "cancer" has negative connotations that detrimentally impact upon access to cancer care services. Barriers accessing services amongst Australians are widely reported. In contrast, factors facilitate this cohort successfully navigate ("enablers") scarcely reported in the literature. Through qualitative interviews, article examines assist have positive experiences. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with twelve adult oncology patients recruited from a tertiary hospital Queensland, Australia during 2012-2014. Data generated independently reviewed by two researchers via inductive thematic analytical processes. Discussions followed consensus on major categories allowed conclusions be drawn potential enablers. Two of enablers identified researchers: resilience and communication.
