摘要: Background: We previously reported favorable results of intraarterial doxorubicin chemotherapy in combination with low-dose radiotherapy for locally-advanced bladder cancer. have now designed a new regimen to achieve higher tumor response rate while preserving functional bladder. Methods: Twenty-one patients muscle-invasive cancer (T2, lO; T3,7; T4,4) were treated concurrent and after an initial complete transurethral resection. Induction therapy consisted concomitant pirarubicin (THP; 15 mg/m2/day on days 1 3), cisplatin (CDDP; 25 8 10) irradiation (2 Gy/session 3 10). Maintenance treatment THP administered at 20 or 30 mg without 50 CDDP every month 2 years. Results: Nineteen the 21 (90.5|X%) achieved (CR). One these 19 relapsed lung metastases 24 months was surgically. The who did not CR died cancer, remaining are alive preservation bladder. Conclusion: These findings suggest that is by THP/CDDP plus radiotherapy.
