摘要: During the last several years, human T cell leukemia virus type I (HTLV-I) has become recognized as an important cause for public health concern throughout world. HTLV-I is causative agent of a variety clinical diseases, including aggressive lymphoproliferative disorder named adult leukemia. induces pathogenicity in infected host through synthesis virally encoded protein called Tax. Expression Tax critical to life cycle virus, greatly increases efficiency gene transcription and replication. Furthermore, been shown deregulate many cellular genes, leading hypothesis that presence promotes unchecked growth HTLV-I-infected cell. The mechanism Taxtrans-activation expression not known. does bind directly Tax-responsive promoter elements but appears function interaction with certain DNA binding proteins, activating factor 2 cAMP response element recognize these sequences. This review summarizes some recent work field aimed at elucidating expression.
