摘要: Abstract Oxyfluoride glass-ceramics are extensively being investigated for their excellent optical properties and widespread use in photonic applications. But oxychloride systems scarcely studied although they potential candidates those fields. Here we report chloroborosilicate glass system SiO 2 –B O 3 –BaO–K O–Al –BaCl (mol%) within which BaCl nanocrystals have been generated by melt-quench technique followed heat treatment. Samples were characterized differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction, infrared UV–vis spectroscopy, elastic constants measurement, etc. Micro- nanostructures analyzed using FESEM, TEM SAED. Formation growth mechanism of demonstrated with the help schematic representations. Size (7–47 nm) morphology found to be controlled temperature heat-treatment time. Activation energy crystallization was determined non-isothermal method DSC 510 kJ/mol. Chloroborosilicate glasses containing having low-phonon (∼350 cm −1 ) promising different
