摘要: OBJECTIVE:To present a case of the use alteplase for successful resolution an upper extremity occlusion in newborn receiving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).CASE SUMMARY:A two-day-old full-term Hispanic girl ECMO support developed left distal to brachial artery. Alteplase therapy was initiated with bolus dose 0.48 mg/kg followed by continuous infusion 0.27 mg/kg/h three hours. A repeat Doppler ultrasound revealed little improvement, resulting continuation at rate additional At completion infusion, perfusion greatly improved palpable radial pulse present. While remaining on support, brain approximately 13 hours after grade I right caudate head hemorrhage normal ventricles. discontinued during next 24 hours, days later indicating n...
