摘要: The electrical and chemical components of the electrochemical proton gradient submitochondrial particles can be monitored simultaneously by continuously recording optical signals from probes oxonol-VI 9-aminoacridine. Either respiration or ATP hydrolysis causes a red shift in absorption spectrum indicative membrane potential decrease fluorescence 9-aminoacridine pH gradient. magnitude formed respiring modulated thermodynamic phosphorylation (deltaGp) adenine nucleotide system. deltaGp is Gibbs free energy synthesis defined relationship = -deltaG'o + RTln([ATP]/[ADP][Pi] where deltaG'o standard hydrolysis. Increasing values cause an increase steady state magnitudes both Thermodynamic titration experiments indicate that normally maintained has equivalent to 10.5 10.9 kcal/mol.
