Homeopathy in Experimental Cancer Models: A Systematic Review.

摘要: Background Complementary and alternative medicine, including homeopathy, is widely used to improve well-being among cancer patients reduce adverse effects of conventional treatment. In contrast, there are few studies on the use homeopathic medicines treat disease itself. Yet, evidence possible effectiveness high dilutions in experimental models has been published during past 20 years. Aim The aim study was perform a systematic review fundamental research cancer. Methods Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guideline, we conducted literature search database PubMed original publications, from 2000 2018 English, vitro vivo testing dilutions. Results Twenty-three articles met inclusion criteria—14 vitro, eight vivo, one plus models. Most were India. Research prominently focused cytotoxic involving apoptotic mechanisms. Intrinsic aspects homeopathy should be considered designs emphasize specificity such effects. Conclusion Fundamental still at an early stage mainly performed by groups investigators. The results point interference well-selected with cell cycle mechanisms cells. However, these findings need independent reproduction.
