摘要: Ovine pulmonary carcinoma (OPC) is a contagious neoplasia with suspected retroviral etiology. The major core protein (P27) of the putative OPC virus cross-reacts antibodies to P27 Mason-Pfizer monkey (MPMV), type-D retrovirus. This serological reactivity serves as only accepted biological marker for OPC. In order make useful reagent detection serodiagnosis and epidemiological studies, MPMV-P27 coding region was cloned expressed in Escherichia coli. Gel purified recombinant used develop an immunoassay. enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) then screen 223 sera from US sheep 176 Italian sheep. this study, we found: (1) high prevalence infection retrovirus chronic pneumonia; (2) subclinical may be more common than indicated by rare recorded occurrence carcinoma; (3) apparent association between ovine lentivirus (OLV) infection.
