摘要: Olmesartan is an angiotensin receptor blockers with actions similar to those of losartan; it used for the treatment high blood pressure by relaxing vessels this reason can flow more easily. It could be alone or in combination other antihypertensive drugs. This chapter gives a comprehensive profile olmesartan, containing detailed nomenclature, formulae, elemental analysis, and appearance drug. In addition also describes several methods synthesis usage olmesartan. The covers physicochemical properties including pKa value, solubility, X-ray powder diffraction, melting point, procedures analysis (compendial, spectroscopic, electrochemical, chromatographic techniques analysis). Comprehensive pharmacology presented (pharmacological actions, therapeutic uses dosing, interactions, adverse effects precautions). Eighty references were given as proof above-mentioned studies.
