摘要: Publisher Summary Adaptive skills training is an important contribution to success in community placement, promotion of integration into the community, and quality life for people. Many studies have been conducted using samples participants with intellectual developmental disabilities. It treatment providers focus their interventions on that can promote independence facilitate placement. This chapter reviews research utilizing different modalities instruction, such as applied behavior analysis, task visually cued modeling (peer/adult, videotape, self-modeling), natural/simulated/virtual environments, constant time delay, self-management. Applied analysis approach influencing socially by principles modification discovered through decades laboratory research. The positive support emphasizes behavioral methods prevent problem rather than consequential are implemented following behavior. A common method teaching various adaptive utilization analysis. When skills, clinicians may want consider making setting comparable environment which skill will most likely be real life.
