摘要: Danger-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) are host-derived molecules that can function to regulate the activation of pathogen recognition receptors (PRRs). These play a critical role in modulating lung injury response. DAMPs originate from multiple sources, including injured and dying cells, extracellular matrix, or exist as immunomodulatory proteins within airspace interstitium. either toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists antagonists, modulate both TLR nod-like (NLR) signalling cascades. Collectively, this diverse group may represent important therapeutic targets prevention and/or treatment acute (ALI) its more severe form, respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
