摘要: This study describes the phenomena occurring during first stages of layer formation in ESD (electrostatic spray deposition) process. Solutions containing zirconyl nitrate dissolved a mixture butyl carbitol−water−ethanol (40:40:20 vol %) have been sprayed on heated glass substrates. The spreading and drying droplets growth coating over time range 10 s to min studied using SEM optical microscopy. influence substrate temperature, concentration salts, nature, polymer additives microstructure deposited coatings has studied. work shows that there is little connection between evolution final coating. due strong effect preferential landing presence liquid at surface deposition These results will contribute understanding technique. They finally help synthesize finely controlled thin layers zirconia for direct applications as SOFC electrolytes.
