摘要: Population models for sexually transmitted infections frequently use a transmission model that assumes an inherent partnership length of zero. However, in population with long-term partnerships, the infection status partners, partnership, and exclusivity significantly affect rate infection. We develop autonomous can account possibilities from either casual sexual partner or longtime who was infected at start newly infected. The impact partnerships on is captured by calculating expected values these extended contacts. present new method to evaluate acquisition rates which produces more realistic number lifetime partners. Results include SI different infectiousness levels HIV HSV-2 acute chronic/latent stages homogeneous (MSM) heterogeneous (WSM-MSW) groups. accompanying reproduction sensitivity studies highlight both spread. construct set equations handle issues usually ignored handled only through simulations non-autonomous form. formulation allows simple numerical computations while incorporating combination random instantaneous contacts between individuals prolonged specific individuals.
