摘要: Hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) are master regulators of angiogenesis and cellular adaptation in hypoxic microenvironments. Accumulating evidence indicates that HIFs also regulate cell survival, glucose metabolism, microenvironmental remodeling, cancer metastasis, tumor progression, thus, viewed as therapeutic targets many diseases. Epigenetic changes involved the switching ‘on’ ‘off’ genes, it has been suggested DNA hypermethylation specific gene promoters, histone modifications (acetylation, phosphorylation, methylation) small interfering or micro RNAs be regarded epigenetic for regulation disease-associated changes. Furthermore, microenvironment is one most important stress stimuli terms status via modification. Therefore, drug development approaches to ischemic diseases targeting by modulation become an attractive area. Here, authors provide a review literature regarding HIF, key modulator hypoxic-cell response under various disease conditions, modulating using endogenous exogenous chemicals.
