Preparation and characterization of ultra-low density porous gold foams

摘要: Abstract We present a simple approach to generate ultra-low density porous gold foams with the as low 0.519 gcm -3 . In our work, nanoparticles small grain sizes and good solubility were prepared used starting building blocks; afterwards, freeze-dry technique was employed prepare compound foams. Finally sintered obtain density. The results show that content of element in is close 99.2%. Even though still have intensity can be machined regular shapes. microstructure analysis indicate continuous open structure, average pores size about 1–2 μm, framework piled up particles different sizes. Our might give way produce low-density fabrication procedures.
