摘要: This paper proposes a universal serial bus (USB) solution for sensor networking. First, network architecture has been presented to have, as its primary objective, integration with existing infrastructure. For this reason, USB-to-Ethernet gateway introduced. Then, many aspects of industrial applications have considered realize suitable solution. Insulation problems and low-cost implementation tackled. Working prototypes each component defined realized: USB host gateway, insulator, hub. Several commercial devices can be used sensors. Finally, some experiments carried out: Timing performances, activities, power consumption tested.
