摘要: Abstract In the present work problem of stiffness degradation multidirectional symmetric laminates in presence off-axis cracks is studied. A new analytical model presented, capable estimating elastic properties a laminate with an arbitrary lay-up and one or more plies. The based on so called “optimal” shear lag analysis layer (and its symmetric), coupled procedure to account for multiple plies, considering also their mutual interaction. requires, as inputs, geometric layers crack density only. very satisfactory agreement found between predictions experimental numerical results from literature.
