摘要: Abstract The influence of the incorporation polyamide-6 (PA) and natural sepiolite nanoparticles on both thermal degradation fire behaviour polypropylene (PP) matrix has been investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) mass loss calorimetry. For that purpose, PP/PA blends nanocomposites thereof were prepared melt processing. TGA results evidenced use maleic anhydride grafted-polypropylene (MA-g-PP) as compatibilizer led to a significant improvement in stability under air. Such was linked formation char layer preventing thermo-oxidative PP. Interestingly, resistance this further improved adding 5 wt% leading important increase time ignition reduction peak heat release rate (pHRR) during calorimeter test.
