摘要: The presence of predators at soft-shell clam (Mya arenaria) culture sites is great concern in Atlantic Canada. Laboratory studies were undertaken (i) to monitor the surface-exploration activity nemertean Cerebratulus lacteus obtain a general indication its activities throughout 24-h period, and (ii) describe behaviour while feeding on M. arenaria better understanding predation mechanisms involved. first experiment showed that surface exploration varied significantly according or absence prey.
