摘要: The present study investigated the distribution and environmental fate of Bisphenol A (BPA), 4-hydroxyacetophenone (4-HAP) metabolite, 5 other bisphenol congeners in 2 municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) their receiving rivers Romania. Accordingly, a new, highly sensitive accurate solid-phase extraction-liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry method was developed validated. This technique generated low limit quantitation values: below 2.3 ng/L for surface water less than 2.4 2.7 ng/L WWTP effluent influent water. sum detected analytes between 1337 16 118 ng/L samples 15 96 ng/L samples. In water, total all compounds somewhere 34 240 ng/L. highest concentration observed BPA 3 types analyzed (up to 9140 ng/L influent, as high 75 ng/L effluent, maximum 135 ng/L waters). All were free bisphenols B, C, F. For values higher those determined samples, which may be caused by intrinsic contamination (Danube Jiu Rivers). Values risk coefficients, calculated both effluents waters, indicated ecological or no organisms (algae, daphnia, fish). Human assessment calculation suggests human health result presence either rivers. Environ Toxicol Chem 2021;40:435-446. © 2020 SETAC.
