摘要: To obtain a better understanding of the relationship between calcrete genesis and results different absolute dating methods, thermoluminescence (TL), radiocarbon ( (super 14) C) uranium/thorium (U/Th) were applied to coeval samples taken from very young profile in Namibia. The methodically ages reflect characteristics genetics events genesis. conventional C TL dates cover last 50 ka, while corresponding U/Th are many times larger. Uranium-series not related deposition host material or its cementation if smaller than ca. 120 ka. clock is set zero during eolian transport radiometric quartz feldspar grains date time their deposition. cement correspond, on other hand, shortly after onset long before termination. In case old calcrete, mixture ambiguous they cannot be confirmed by an independent technique.
