摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses four different limestone types that are distinguished by methods. Estimated erosion rates during the Neogene and elevation of lacustrine exposures indicate a Quaternary age for oldest remnants paleolake deposits in continental Murzuq Basin. Evidence three levels Fezzan their corresponding extents has been integrated. A new definition “Al Mahrfqah Formation” is presented term used all carbonate rock units hereafter. The Al Formation as redefined now comprises members: Brak Member, Bi’r az Zallaf Aqar Member. Absolute ages required to establish precise chronology. Preliminary results mass spectrometric-uranium-series presented.
