摘要: Bacillus cereus is one of the most common opportunistic pathogens causing foodborne illness, as well a source contamination in dairy industry. B. cereus can form robust biofilms on food processing surfaces, resulting due to shedding cells and spores. Despite medical industrial relevance this species, genetic basis biofilm formation not studied. In order identify genes required for bacterium, we created library 5000 + transposon mutants biofilm-forming strain B. cereusATCC 10987, using an unbiased mariner approach. The mutant was screened ability pellicle at air-media interface, submerged solid-media interface. A total 91 were identified essential formation. These encode functions such chemotaxis, amino acid metabolism cellular repair mechanisms, include numerous previously known be Although majority disrupted are directly responsible motility, further investigations revealed that vast biofilm-deficient also motility impaired. This observation implicates pivotal factor by B. cereus. results expand our knowledge fundamental molecular mechanisms
