Vitexin exerts cardioprotective effect on chronic myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats via inhibiting myocardial apoptosis and lipid peroxidation.

摘要: Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the cardioprotective effect vitexin on chronic myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats and potential mechanisms. Methods: A model established by ligating left anterior descending coronary for 60 minutes, followed reperfusion 14 days. After 2 weeks ischemia/reperfusion, cardiac function measured assess injury. level ST segment recorded different periods electrocardiograph. change ventricular reaction degree fibrosis heart investigated hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining Sirius red staining. Endothelium-dependent relaxations due acetylcholine were observed isolated rat thoracic aortic ring preparation. blood samples collected measure levels MDA, activities SOD NADPH serum. Epac1, Rap1, Bax Bcl-2 examined using Western Blotting. Results: Vitexin exerted significant protective injury, improved obviously diastolic reduced reactive ischemia. Medium high-dose groups presented a decrease Bax, Epac1 Rap1 production increase compared I/R group. It may be related preventing cells from apoptosis, improving inhibiting lipid peroxidation. Conclusions: is herb, which promising useful complementary alternative medicine patients with disease.
