摘要: Acoustic emissions (AE) and stress–strain curve analysis are well accepted ways of analysing crack propagation monitoring the various failure stages (such as closure, initiation level during rock under compression) rocks rock-like materials. This paper presents details results experimental investigations conducted for characterizing brittle processes induced in a due to monocyclic uniaxial compression on loading two types sandstone core samples saturated NaCl brines varying concentration (0, 2, 5, 10 15 % by weight). The were vacuum more than 45 days with respective pore fluid allow them interact rocks. It was observed that compressive strength behaviour specimens changed increasing saturating fluid. acoustic emission patterns also varied considerably ionic brines. These observations can be attributed deposition crystals rock’s spaces some minor geo-chemical interactions between minerals brine. AE pattern variations could partly related higher conductivity high-NaCl brine it is able transfer energy from cracks sensors.
