Short-Range Order and Pseudogaps in Elemental Amorphous Covalent Semiconductors

摘要: The role of short-range order in producing a pseudogap the density states ρ(E) an elemental amorphous material is investigated. An approximate expression for which emphasizes and neglects all long-range derived from multiple-scattering theory. This used to study influence consisting two atoms, single bond, eight atoms staggered eclipsed bonding configurations on ρ(E). results numerical calculation sp3-bonded C, Si, Ge are reported. These suggest that may be attributed order.
