摘要: Polycrystalline NdCuSi is found to show co-existence of antiferromagnetic (AFM) and ferromagnetic (FM) phases at low temperatures, as revealed by neutron diffraction data. The coexistence attributed the competing exchange interactions crystal field effect. compound shows a large, low-field magnetoresistance (MR) ∼ − 32% 20 kOe below TN (3.1 K), which becomes 36% 50 kOe. MR value be highest among RTX compounds. Magnetocaloric effect (MCE) also large ∼11 J/kg K close TN. Resistivity data presence spin fluctuations, get suppressed applied field. Large MCE in this arise due two phases. dependencies quadratic behavior, confirming fluctuations.
