摘要: Abstract The enzyme profiles of three major Brazilian Trypanosoma cruzi zymodemes (Brazilian Z1, Z2, Z3) and two principal Bolivian were compared. Relationships assessed both intuitively by calculating genetic distances. One the zymodemes, was closely related to Z1. second zymodeme, Z2 but differed from all in occurrence typical heterozygous isozyme patterns five out 12 loci. Parental stocks clones had same putative patterns. evidence on ploidy T. possibility recombination considered. presence supported hypothesis that is diploid. definition as a single polytypic species or complex considered be dependent absence between within which has not been demonstrated ecotopes so far examined.
