摘要: WDM star networks using fixed lasers and tunable optical filters are favored by the current state-of-the-art in technology over other architectural forms. However, of this form suffer from low efficiency when offered traffic is bursty. Under bursty conditions, it probable that some wavelengths idle, while overloaded. Therefore, overall network performance degraded. In paper, a new MAC protocol which capable operating efficiently under conditions introduced.
