摘要: The system issues and network applications of acoustooptic tunable filters (AOTFs) are discussed. AOTFs thought to be attractive components in dense wavelength-division multiplexed (WDM) networks because their broad continuous electronic wavelength tunability narrow filter bandwidth. Their unique multiwavelength filtering capability adds a greater dimension flexibility design. characteristics the AOTF reviewed from viewpoint performance capabilities bulk-devices, integrated-optic devices, fiber-based devices discussed compared.
