摘要: Epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) and DOG1 are used as marker of epithelial cells, particularly the luminal salivary gland tumours. The aim this study was to compare EMA expression in tumours minor glands. Cases pleomorphic adenoma (PA), basal cell (BCA), canalicular (CA), adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC), polymorphous adenocarcinoma (PAC), mucoepidermoid (MEC) epithelial-myoepithelial (EMC) were submitted immunohistochemistry for DOG1. In PA BCA, observed while CA tumour cells negative both proteins. pattern detected EMC similar that one benign ACC, myoepithelial e expressed DOG-1. PAC only positive DOG1, whereas MEC EMA. conclusion, normal tissue can be good tumoral derived from intercalated ducts or its progenitor malignant is, however, better an indicator aggressive behavior than a cells.
