摘要: Abstract Five farm residues were used for the manufacture of low-density particle boards in a hot platter press using urea formaldehyde as binding material. Mechanical and thermal properties evaluated. The maize-cob board was superior to other mechanical screw/nail holding strength, suggesting its use interior applications, while paddy-straw coconut-pith found be suitable insulation purposes.
