摘要: West Nile virus has been isolated for the first time in Mexico, from a sick person and mosquitoes (Culex quinquefasciatus). Partial sequencing analysis of 2 isolates indicate that they are genetically similar to other recent northern Mexico western United States. Several reports have documented widespread geographic distribution (WNV) but until now, no autochthonous human cases illness due this reported republic. Likewise, limited entomologic surveillance conducted information is available on actual mosquito vectors WNV All Mexican studied date come dead equines or birds. We report isolations pool Culex quinquefasciatus describe their phylogenetic relationship representative strains States Mexico.
