摘要: Since 10 years ago, when the seven hallmarks of cancer were first defined by Hanahan and Weinberg, after decades molecular, cellular clinical investigations, new systems-based approaches have provided a wide range improved investigative methods. These integrate various global data types into mathematical computational models molecular pathways networks that become dysregulated in cancer, since are now able to take account large-scale properties complex biological networks. Genome variation instability been revisited through study genetic genomic networks; while transcription protein interaction revealing biomarkers modular change. Growth, proliferation apoptosis being more fully described signalling network modelling. Sustained angiogenesis metastasis addressed via multiscale Enhanced understanding initial extended control metabolism stress, is opening novel avenues for diagnosis treatment. It expected further progress will place iterative cycles experimentation modelling, typical systems biology. All this require advances acquisition, integration scales types, analysis Success all these endeavours cannot be achieved without better cross-disciplinary interactions among researchers technologists.
