Primarily American adults (n = 269) participated 6-month consisting motivational enhancement, support, pedometer diary self-monitoring, 5 education sessions. Outcome measures included pedometer-determined steps per day, fitness, intake, measures. Generalized linear mixed models were used test for behavioral outcomes, identify predictors changes, determine if predicted diet. RESULTS Postintervention apparent 10 24 (P < .05). Processes change components, including helping relationships, reinforcement management, consciousness raising, significant fitness CONCLUSION article the first address how several theoretical frameworks influence multicomponent, adults. Findings reported factors on health interventions focus.
