摘要: Patients with severe multiple sclerosis (MS) relapses which do not respond sufficiently to corticosteroids can undergo escalating immunotherapy plasma exchange. We review the course of 14 apheresis cycles in 13 adult patients and three pediatric cases from our center between 2004 2005. Nine were due optic neuritis, five had experienced clinically isolated syndromes, two suffered Devic's disease. Of patients, 71% good or very outcome. The mean time point improvement was after third plasmapheresis session, early initiation exchange therapy (within 1 month begin relapse) associated better In MS, showed clear improvement. These data argue for a therapeutic effect if performed adequate indication.
