摘要: Background. The benefit of postoperative adjuvant therapy for patients with cervical cancer is uncertain, and moreover, may increase morbidity. In this study, patient age, clinical stage the cancer, tumor size, levels serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen carcinoembryonic were studied in Stage Ib IIa uterine cervix to determine if these parameters can be used, fore surgical intervention, distinguish who require from those do not. Methods. Ninety-nine studied. After surgery, classified either as high risk or low according results histopathologic findings. age was noted, FIGO stage, antigen, size determined. A univariate analysis then a stepwise logistic regression procedure performed select significant predictors among five variables mentioned above. Any selected further analyzed by receiver operator characteristic curve. Results. Serum measured colposcopic examination treatment strategy postoperatively. From curve, sensitivity 84.2%, specificity 91.8%, positive predictive value 84.5% attained. Conclusions. assays estimated colpos copic are helpful identifying adjunctive therapy.
